Children/Grandchildren: Leslie Snipes (37) and Amy Murphy (35). Our Grandson, Shai Murphy (21 months) will soon have a sister, Aidan Murphy (due June 2012). Shai is a joy. Nana and Papa adore him, and we grab every opportunity to have him in our home.

Favorite Memory of High School: Lancaster High School Band and the Lancaster Youth Center

Things I Would Like My Classmates to Know (College, military, occupation, etc.): Linda and I knew each other for three and one-half years before we married. Eight years after we married (and we had given up) Leslie was born (1974). Two years later Amy was born (1976). In 1968 Linda and I graduated from the University of South Carolina. 1968-1972 I served at the US Navy Great Lakes Naval Hospital as a medical laboratory technology instructor and research assistant in addition to regular enlisted duties. After an honorable discharge, I became a State Farm insurance agent, retiring after thirty-two years (2005). We retired to Boone, NC, then we moved to South Charlotte, NC.We enjoy our Grandson, we travel, and I am an artist (oil painting and woodwork)
