Donald Kay Parker

August 6, 1946 - August 2, 2022

 

Rock Hill, South Carolina - Donald K. Parker, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Southside Baptist Church, 1229 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Tyler Donough officiating assisted by Reverend Ken Walters. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Born in Lancaster, SC, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Claude J. Parker and the late Mary Hegler Parker. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Claude "Tootsie" Parker, Jr, Robert "Bob" Parker and Mike Parker. He held a Masters in Christian Education from Hyles-Anderson College, Crown Point, Indiana and was a retired professor at Oklahoma Baptist College; Associate Pastor of Windsor Hills Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Don was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Rock Hill.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Brenda Gayle Hubbs Parker; his son, Greg (Angie) Boone of Lancaster, SC; two grandchildren, Brandon Boone and Brooke Boone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Don Parker's name to Southside Baptist Church, 1229 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
